So, before anyone gets their panties in a twist, Project Ma'at is still underway. I have however on the side been working on a revamp of the reach content I made last year, and with that I have also been toying with the idea of another halo RP. I haven't made any definitive decisions about it yet, and I'm very much on the fence wether I should even bother with it or not. A Halo RP, would at the moment be doable within a shorter span of time than Project Ma'at, and you would all get your character heads on marine models, so if its the quick RP fix your after then a Halo RP might be a good thing.
Regardless, I want your opinions on it, is it worth doing, what kind of RP should it be, private, semi-private, public, what kind of story would you want, what should be the main antagonist? Personally I'm leaning towards a semi-private RP, requiring application before being whitelisted to join, as for the story I think I'd lean more for something less bound to ships and spacetravel, and instead maybe try to paraphrase the overall story of Halo Wars, which would pit us against both covenant and later on the flood.
Danlin jumped the gun slightly on things and created the forum sections a bit....early. If you guys return overall positive comments I will put the matter to a community vote later today or sometime next week.

Jef has a point, but something to pass the time between shitty servers is fun! It's not like we have anything else to do MERP is cancer, I've been hopping Hl2's and been very.. Disappointed. I bet no one else has found anything good, so go ahead faget; do your thing.
I think it should be a small, private server, so nothing exactly too big but at the same time has something for us to do. If it's only a filler for another server I don't think it should be too complex, just something fun and cool while we wait for the big one.
As for the story, I have no clue, but supposing we kinda developed covenant models I think something involving them probably won't hurt.

Small private filler server sounds great.Outlander wrote:I think it should be a small, private server, so nothing exactly too big but at the same time has something for us to do. I wouldn't mind a Halo RP as much, private-smaller and a filler server would be great, public does get messy unless it's monitored with apps. Only thing I'd be against is another 'disaster' type scenario we had the last few times Halo was ran. A new story that doesn't involve 24/7 survival would be welcoming, or atleast dimmed down to certain events that span two or so days - not a entire storyline based around it.
I'm not sure about, while the 24/7 survival might get a bit repetitive, I feel like not having a present danger in the story at all times might make it a bit bland. I think maybe if we instead had the present danger but instead multiple breaks through the story, it could allow us to have the 'survivial 24/7' type of environment while also keeping it from being repetitive. Either that, or we do 'missons' and throw out the disaster situation, but in my personal opinion I usually liked the aspect of playing out a disaster :PSnowy wrote:I wouldn't mind a Halo RP as much, private-smaller and a filler server would be great, public does get messy unless it's monitored with apps. Oh, disasters can be hell of a lot of fun! But just, it does get somewhat repetitive, but to a extent I'd love to give the survival aspect another run. Like, if the server -was- to be a filler-type one, then it could work as it'll only last for a certain amount of time, which would be ideal until Ma'at comes along. Then I wouldn't mind doing the survival-type scenario, but if it's going to be longer than that or a major project running alongside the original Ma'at idea, then I'd be asking for something a little more different that a disaster/survival scenario, just to change it up from the last few times we ran a Halo server. Other than that, survival could be fun until Ma'at arrives. :P
Right now I'm thinking of a story similar to what we saw in Halo Wars, a ship doing a blind jump to a sheild world or just an unexplored and uninhabited planet where we would be facing both covenant and at later or possibly final stages, the flood. However as a small "introduction" we would be within the know realm of halo lore and fight Insurectionists until winter contingency is declared on whatever planet we start off on. This would limit tedious spaceship maps to a minimum and hopefully keep the story relatively well paced. If you guys have suggestions or ideas for stories, throw them into the ring, I'll probably end up stitching it all together into a grand narrative.
