Non-Workshop Content Installation
The custom content I've made is not on the workshop, and never will be, it is too large. So, to install it you will need to use the process that was standard before Gmod13, and install it like a legacy addon by dragging the addon to your Addons folder in the Garrysmod directory. Here is a tutorial on how to do it, if you still have questions or issues you are welcome to contact me on the forums or catch me on Teamspeak.

Shiny Textures
Some people will encounter that many of the items appear "shiny", this is because of a glitch in how source handles environment maps when they interact with specular maps (a fancy visual detail that governs model/texture glossiness). There are two methods of fixing this.
--Method 1--
On the workshop you can find an addon called "Life Mod", it includes a fix for the broken envmap handling in gmod and has a simple setting to enable it. You can find the addon in the link below, once installed you simply need to boot up gmod in SP and go into the Q menu, find the life menu and enable the shiny objects fix (almost certainly called something else).

--Method 2--
This method involves disabling specular entirely. To do this you first need to start Garrysmod, once in the start menu open the console and enter the command mat_specular 0 and then you're done. The game may freeze up while the command is being activated, give it some time. This method will need to be repeated every time you start the game.
Weapons
"Ironsights don't work?"
At this time Ironsights do not work on the server, the issue is being worked on but progress is slow, as it is clockwork that has broken them (they work in SP and on all other game modes). More info will come as I make more progress.
"My weapon won't fire after running out of ammo?"
This is a glitch I have discovered while testing on the server, it can be fixed by simply adding more ammo through an ammo item, switching to your hands or any other weapon, and then switching back.
Invisible Models
This can be caused by many different things, most are clientside and I am inclined to assume that there's an error on the side of the user rather than with the content until i have definitive proof otherwise. The invisible models glitch can be caused by a lot of things, and if often the hardest thing to diagnose, among the causes are, too many addons installed (they overload the source buffer cache and stop it from actually loading more content). Certain addons that add more animations into the default animation set (these often cause checksum errors, but so far have only been reported on one player's machine). The error can also arise on older machines, as well as brand new ones.
Here are two things to try if you encounter this issue:
- Unsubscribe from any addons you are not using.
- Restart Garrysmod, in the start menu open up the console and enter mat_dxlevel 90. Then test the models in SP.
If the issue persists and you cannot fix it, feel free to contact me, and I will do my best to fix it.
Content not mounting
Make sure that you are putting the addon file in the addons folder located in common/garrysmod/garrysmod/. If not you can find this directory by right clicking garrysmod in steam, properties-->local files-->browse local files.
Lag and low framerate
The content uses a lot of HD textures and is completely un-optimized, I will not be bothering to optimize it as doing so is a massive undertaking. If you have a less powerful computer I have a few things to recommend that may boost your FPS and potentially make the server bearable to play on. Here is a link to a site with some good suggestions and optimizations that should boost garrysmod's performance on your computer:
