Full Background:
Located on the fringe of the Alliance space, the planet consisted of a molten metallic core with dichotomous crust. Its surface was entirely covered by a frozen ocean, except where volcanic fissures opened up steam vents, depositing rock and minerals in darker patches on the glacier plains. A few mountain ranges pierced the permanent ice shelves, some being geologically active. The tidal pull of Swov's two nameless moons caused fissures in the ice-layers, sending jets of ocean water into the freezing Swov air. The intense cold froze these jets into spires of ice, suspending primitive ocean algae within these tall columns and glaciers. Massive oceanic currents beneath the southern hemisphere caused regular seismic activity, resulting in a constantly shifting landscape of caves and tunnels. Buried deep in Swov's equatorial region was a fissure, reaching hundreds of meters towards the core of the planet.
Its orbit and axial tilt resulted in consistently icy weather patterns. Daytime temperatures reached levels unbearable to most species and rarely rose above freezing, even in the planet's relatively mild equatorial regions. The gale force winds and intense snowstorms that regularly wrecked the windswept surface magnified the extreme cold of Swov.
The average planetary temperature was around -61ºC; however at the capital city Tredegar, located near the planet's equator in the northern hemisphere, daytime temperatures could reach -32ºC; however night-time temperatures got as low as -60ºC.
The capital of Tredegar is that of a utopia paradise compared to the outside, sporting a number of high skyscrapers and various ports which are active at almost any time of the day. There is little to no crime what so ever due to everyone on the planet having one simple mindset 'survival' but that needed be the case seeing as there is numerous trade on Swov due to the metallic core of the planet the minerals extracted are bartered of in exchange of vital supplied needed The population of Swov being located in one giant city. There is no farming space outside of the capital Swov's government decided to abandon all farm and livestock projects and decided to focus on more complex tasks whether that be future weapons development or using the landscape of the planet to train Alliance soldiers in Arctic combat and survival skills.
Reasons it should be included: I believe it would create a bunch of passive to include with my character, whether it be talking about the planet to other marines or simply using a few of the survival skills needed to survive of Swov in a operation during combat? Also the fact it's on the edge of Alliance space means it could be included in a event at some point if need be, it's nice to have a variety.
Relation to you or your Character: Dorbal was born in the capital city of Swov named Tredegar he grew up there with both his parents until he reached the age of 16 in which he decided to enlist. It also shows how Dorbal got his physiological traits.
