Tonight Season 3 will launch. Yes, finally, with the launch there will be an update adding quite a bit of new content, among it mercenary models that will be used in both the launch event as subsequent events later this week.
As a quick introduction to what will happen, here is what will be the "intro" to the actual launch (this is what will happen but hasn't yet).
After a few days on Newton's Island Casey along with Denver and Alyssa head off in the shuttle to procure a new ship. Not long after their departure a NewTech branded cargo transport arrives hanging over the island, a small shuttle defends from it to recover the rest of the crew. Later, upon arriving at one of the many spaceports of the planted the crew receive a wave over the Cortex from Alyssa, informing them that she and Casey have found a ship, but have had to go to another system to pay for it and pick it up. She also includes rendezvous coordinates for them, telling them to make their way there however they can....
