Welcome to the SMU


The Scout Marksman unit is made up of two distinct sections of it's members. The first, are designated marksmen of Rhino. Armed with the D9 Hemlock (MkI or II) they are expected to be lookouts for the main force, and to fire against targets that prove to be of importance. They are to stick within their squads unless ordered otherwise. The second are the scout snipers, who are to be split off from the main force in usual situations and to provide support from advantageous positions with their Nightshades RAMR's. They are allowed to relocate themselves as they see fit, however if ordered they must go to assigned locations or stick with their assigned squads.
The Designated Marksman have no special permissions above a normal member of Rhino. However Sniper teams are given a very big amount of discretion in how they operate, and have strict operating procedure. They must be put into teams of two which are both certified in the use of the Nightshade. One will be the spotter, armed with the D9 Hemlock (Usually a MkII by this stage) to call out targets and act as Close range support. The other will be Sniper, armed with the Nightshade RAMR to take out targets of massive importance. They are expected to be smart about how they deal with their targets. To take only the right shots at the right time, as anything less that far away from the force would ultimately end in their, and possibly of those they are protection's, untimely demise.
