Personality Description: A rough and rugged type of man, always cynical to every situation, but more in a jokey fashion than a dire one. Known for taking pride in his health and body, especially his deep voice. He is a marine which respects the chain of command and goes head first into most situations, often following orders blindly and to the letter. In times of battle, he is known to change to a more serious tone, quickly dishing out verbal abuse towards aggressors in order to vent some steam.


Physical Description: A rather tall man with an Athletic body type. He clearly looks to have spent hours in the gym body building in his spare time. He has a rounded nose, with a clean shaven face, hazelnut eyes and blonde, short hair. It is clear that he has had some time in the wars, as a small scar runs just below his eye. His body is often littered with cuts and bruises. Whenever in his casual attire, he is usually in cargo shorts and a black t-shirt.


Character Bio: Born on Lunar in 2521 to Jasmine and Randy Briggs, both decorated marines with past service to the UNSC. Jason was never one for school, often skipping classes in order to stay at home at play around with his friends. His parents, needless to say were not so impressed and pushed him towards the Marine academy at age 18.

Being a slacker most of his life made this a huge step in the right direction, Jason being more praised in the academy for his physical skills more than his practical and communication. During this time, a fellow marine trainee by the name of Phil Little befriended Jason, the both of them a known pair during a war games session were responsible for over 100 tags on other players during the scenario which lasted two days. Not quite a record breaker but non the less an excellent score.

Jason was known in the training facility for his rather odd artwork, in which he drew his own style of artwork. It was more graffiti than anything else. This managed to get him a disciplinary action after one of the drill sergeants work up with hell worker sprayed onto his door after forcing Jason to jog around the facility three times without stopping during a training exercise.

After finishing basic, Jason was moved to a Marine compliment on Teressa IV for attacking duties against small scale insurrectionist forces. Phil had also managed to join the compliment, signing on with his friend. After a few basic operations which are not noteworthy, Jason really shone at the battle of creeky pass, when an insurrectionist platoon and armour element took the marine forces by surprise in a narrow mountain valley. After hours of fighting, Jason, Phil and a few other marines managed to break away from the main force, climbing up a nearby cliff side in order to get a firing position on the tanks. After the rocket launcher took out its first tank, they came under fire, a tank HE shell hitting the squad, killing Phil instantly and wounding Jason heavily. Most of the other members were also dead or dying from the blast. With his face a sutty black and his armour charred, Jason took it on himself to fire the last of his rocket pods towards enemy tanks, ultimately taking one more out before passing out from his wounds.

A medical pelican arrived just in time to pick up any survivors, including Jason, taking him back to the local medical facility, in which he recovered there for the next couple of months. The loss of his friend, Phil, took Jason down a dark road, in which he would often sob during his time in the medical facility and is still sometimes seen to this day, crying from the trauma it caused him during that battle. Though, only privately as he does not wish to openly show weakness in front of other marines.

Over the next few months, Jason was moved from pillar to post, often going to low combat zones for guard duties. These duties never really followed up into any action, the most of which he got when a stray dog managed to get through a hole in the wire fence of a military installation, Jason being tasked for finding and getting rid of the dog from the grounds. Other marines still howl with laughter, remembering the time Jason had to chase a dog around a facility and that it took him a good two hours before he managed to get it out and back away from the grounds. The job was somewhat light hearted when it came down to it, allowing Jason time to think about his career, his friends and his missing friends, giving him an overview on things he didn't quite have before. Soon after this, a psychiatric test had shown a huge improvement in his psychological behaviour after the loss of his friend, Phil. Due to this sudden recovery

Just want to add on, I don't want this to be my main character, so I don't want a special role or any rank up, so other people have a chance over me to get ranks and specialist positions.

This is just for when missions won't involve the air force :)
