Steam name: *Storm*
Age: 17
Character Name: Axel Hunter
Character Age: 25
Character Corps: UNSC Marines, Combat Engineer(Sappers)
Character Rank: PFC.
Planet of Origin: Bierut, Earth
Personality Description: Hunter seems to be the type of soldier that’s in the unit for comic relief. His happy-go-lucky attitude, coupled with his constant grin usually places a smile on an individual’s face. Hunter would on average call people by their first names, and is fine with being referred to his forename. Axel also is usually the one who starts up friendly conversations with normal personal. He holds respect for those that hold higher ranks than him, but is more than willing to disobey orders if need be. Once the man puts his mind to something, he’ll more than likely keep his opinion unless somehow persuaded otherwise.
On field, Hunter’s personality changes slightly. The man is a lot more serious, and focuses more on the objective or mission at hand. During an operation, he would only refer to people by their rank and last name, or call his commanding officers as “sir” or “ma’am.”
Physical Description: Hunter stands at about a solid and proud 6’1. He holds a lightly tanned mediterranean skin color. His body type seems to be more lean and slightly muscular, fitting his somewhat tall height. The young man’s facial features look to be about early twenties. His silverish grey eyes usually seems to be lit up, a natural spark within them, while his dark brown hair seems to be slightly short; a bit close to Marine low regulation haircut. Axel doesn’t hold any scars on him at all, nor does he hold any kind of tattoos.
Character Bio: Axel Hunter was born on the 16th of September in 2520 to Joseph and Ikbal Hunter in a small hospital in Beirut. Hunter’s father was a young Sergeant within the UNSC Marine Corps, his MOS a 1371 Combat Engineer. Hunter’s mother was a HM3, or a Hospital Corpsman Third Class within the UNSC Navy. The two met each other on the UNSC Amber, a Charon-class light frigate within the UNSC. The two dated each other for a bit, before allowing their contracts to expire. Joseph owned a carshop, and worked as a civil engineer, while Ikbal worked as a normal nurse practitioner.
Life growing up in Beirut wasn’t very noteworthy at all. In fact, it was quite boring for Hunter. Axel’s upbringing composed of playing video games at a young age, reading any sort of books he’s able to get his hands on, listening to his father’s war stories against the Insurrectionists, playing with a lifelong friend named Trevor Adolay, and tinkering with toys and bolts in his father’s car shop. School and time quickly flew by for the young boy.
While Hunter was growing up, he was very fascinated when it came to the UNSC and the military in general. This was mainly because of his father and his stories. The thought of being a man clad in body armor with an MA37 in one’s hand was something Axel always wanted to be when he was in seventh grade.
On a daily basis, the child make-believed being a heroic soldier with Adolay on a daily basis. It was always the same scenario: Axel was a lone Marine stuck behind enemy lines with the Legion of Honor, while Trevor acted like an insurrectionist leader within the URF. Using nothing but sticks and the occasional fake gun, the two fought endlessly in Trevor’s backyard.
Hunter was forced to give up his playful and relaxing life, instead taking the responsibility of helping his father in his carshop by the time he became a 14 year old. While repairing vehicles with his father, his interest in mechanics, cars, and normal engineering skyrocketed. His mother also put the thought of medical care into his mind. Her stories of saving lives and bare basic life saving tips engraved the corpsmen into Hunter’s mind. However, he gave up on that hope after realizing that years worth of nonstop school and studying, as well as the massive debt he’d accumulate would not be worth it at all. Instead, Axel stuck to working in his father’s shop, studying and learning in school, rarely playing video games, and hanging out with Trevor.
By the time Axel hit the age of twenty one, the man got sick and tired of normal civilian life. It was just too boring for him. Not only that, Hunter had a strong urge to serve and protect his planet, as well as the UNSC. By the seventh of June, Hunter began his new career within the military.
Marine basic was surprisingly harsh and tough on Axel. The man wasn’t ready for the grueling training process that had an impact on his physical and mental health. The drill instructors at the facility broke the young man down, rebuilding him into an effective and proper soldier. However, the facility did not impact Hunter’s personality at all. Instead, it only strengthened his traits as a human; resorting to humor to keep himself cool under pressure. Hunter wasn’t praised much at all within basic training. In fact, he wasn’t noticed by the drill instructors or other recruits at all. Hunter was trained how to coordinate with his squad, radio usage, how to properly fire a MA5B assault rifle, hand to hand combat, and other essential skills to be a Marine.
Once passing Marine basic, Axel was sent toward Basic Combat Engineering School for the duration of a few more months. From there, Hunter learned how to use and drive a multitude of UNSC vehicles; mainly the ones used for combat engineering operations. Hunter was also taught how to set up civil constructions, and military fortifications. He was mainly taught how to utilize explosives such as C-12, C-7, the M168 Demolition Charge, Satchel charges, demolition kits, Thermite, and much, much more.
Finally, after passing through Engineering School, Hunter was stationed to the 30th battalion, second platoon Combat Engineering. His explosive and combat engineering skills were quickly noticed by his higher ups, mainly his COs. Within three months, Hunter got promoted to Private First Class with relative ease. He was also given the order to pack up everything he owns and has, and prepare for a transfer to a new ship. The man quickly takes his belongings, transferring off to the UNSC 'Safety in Silence.'
