Pulling The Plug

-Info-

Due to the complete lack of interest and attempts from the Admins and Trial Admins of Alliance RP I am pulling the plug. The server will officially shut down this evening. As a consequence of the complete lack of attempts at keeping the server running in the absence of Danlin I have concluded that neither the trial admins or the upper management of the server are competent enough to keep their positions, I will therefore wipe the entirety of the admin staff, senior admins will be retired and keep their access to the admin boards on the forums but you will no longer have any say in the running of the community or other community related matters, those who are still trial admins will be demoted back to user status.

This is not the end, the forum RP will continue as is, and I as per-usual have already begun the groundwork on another project, a new lore, and new content. Most of the Alliance RP/Marauder content will as a consequence be scrapped in favor of models and items that live up to my current standards.

The next project will not be public, as I have grown weary of public servers, they are too much work, and often yield me no personal enjoyment.

With the wipe of the admin team I will be revising the staff recruitment procedures drastically and opening applications once again, anyone taken along in the admin wipe is of course welcome to apply again once application open up once more. This time I will outline in detail what is expected of you as an admin and staff member of this community, as I feel that was lost in the current application format.

If I am strictly honest. I think it's about time we just halt things. It seems like a constant circle everytime there is a 'new change'. New server, new staff - week later, it dies and staff are removed for new fresh ones. Come a new concept, same circle is revived. I've seen it happen too many times over the course of several communities that were branches of this one, mendicat and such. Effort and time is put into projects, applications and storylines only for it to be made redundant in a week's time. I've had the experience of being in the middle of that circle too, and what happened - happened, no dwelling. However I hate to see it happen yet again, and people ending up annoyed or upset at the time and effort they've spent putting into it. Of course, this is just my simple outlook on it - but I speak with a open and honest truth and I really do not wish to see this particular circle repeat itself again. Sure, little baby projects might be fine. But big scale, no. There is too much work involved for very little playtime. It's just not worth the effort, or time. I will of course stand by in the shadows as always, and I most likely my statements may or may not fall on deaf ears - but for this particular comment of mine. I just wish I don't have to see the cycle come around once again.

- Snowy.

If I had listened to that the first time I heard it, a few things would never have happened, Mapping Xtreme, Mapping Hell, Outlands RP, Halo RP, The Daedalus Chronicles 1, Unnamed Sci-Fi RP, Project Marauder, Marauder Alliance RP Alpha, The Daedalus Chronicles 2, Project Corsair, Marauder Alliance RP, Subsequence Gaming, Mendicat, Galaxyworks, you me and racer being admins on ALG, and so many other things. So I'm sorry if I seem disrespectful (because that is not my intention at all) when I say that I'm not gonna listen to what you're saying about stopping, and instead I'm going to steam on like I have for the past 5 years.

NIce Armor. I actually want to do something like this, I mean.. I liked Alliance RP; but I got an itch for some Private RP that is more-than-satisfying. Uh.. Lmao, yea, woot.

'Tis a shame. Was getting really into it, I checked the forums everyday, looking for new stuff (Though I'm not one for forumRP). If only work had permitted me to be on more often. Whatever you have planned next, I hope I can be part of it. AllianceRP was a blast while it lasted.
