Should the Shoutbox be on the forum front-page?

I have added a chat/shoutbox function to the forum, however I'd like your opinion on where is should be. Would you prefer it on the top of the main forum overview or is it okay to have it on its own page with a link in the top nav-bar as it is now?
I need a new signature.....
No I dont, its never changing! :|
